Business Background
In
July of 2005 Southwest Auto Spa was open for business and started to
educate the public on their unique services and variety of options. The
business was operated part-time during the academic school year and
full time during the busier months while school was in break. It was a
perfect fit. Shortly after opening, the responsibilities became too
much for one individual to handle and help was acquired shortly there
after.
Southwest
Auto Spa has always been open by appointment. This was done to
accommodate our client’s busy schedules. Approximately one and a half
years after opening, Southwest Auto Spa was open full time five days a
week. Profits were continuously reinvested back into the business to
improve all aspects of running a successful business. Each business
decision made was in regards to the long term strategic plan of
Southwest Auto Spa.
What
is the long-term strategic plan? In a nut shell it is to continue to
grow Southwest Auto Spa to becoming a recognizable household name among
residents in Southwestern Minnesota. This was accomplished through many
different business decisions in regards to financial planning,
investments, advertising, growth and structure, as well as the small
details like work place environment. Put all these together and what
you have is a successful full service car wash and detail center known
today as Southwest Auto Spa!

While
growing this business, our top goal has been customer satisfaction.
From the moment a client walks in the door someone is there greeting
them with a smile and a hand shake, welcoming them to our facility. At
the conclusion of their visit, our auto detail technicians will go
through the vehicle with the client to demonstrate the thoroughness
that we strive for. Not only do we make every effort to provide a
professional quality service, but we have continued to listen to our
target market.
In
the spring of 2007, we worked in conjunction with the Southwest
Marketing Advisory Center to develop and implement a market survey to
both current customers and potential customers. The results of our
survey were very interesting and have helped establish the direction
and focus of Southwest Auto Spa. Since that time we have redeveloped
our services, our advertising, and many other key aspects relating to
educating the public on the unique and amazing services that we have to
offer.

Location
We
are currently located at 1215 ˝ E. College Dr. This location has been a
very positive attribute to our success. As you can see from the before
and after pictures, we have made some drastic improvements to the
building. Because of the condition of the building we were able to
negotiate a very reasonable rental rate. Since that time we have now
outgrown our facility and have many opportunities in front of us for
new locations, bigger buildings, and even a few partnerships
opportunities that may be open for exploration to the right individual.

How far Southwest Auto Spa has come
Earlier
you read about the long term strategic goal of Southwest Auto Spa. You
were probably asking yourself if we had accomplished that goal in the
short three years that we have been I n business. This question can
only be answered by outside sources looking in. I recommend asking the
general public, local business partners, and my competition here in
southwestern Minnesota. Wait, did I say competition, scratch that. We
don’t have any competition, at least not any more. Local businesses
that have offered this service in the past have quit offering it for a
number of reasons that only they can try to explain. Bottom line, we
are the last one standing.
Not
only that but we have continued to show continued success through a
large number of varied results that can be measured and viewed very
easily through a simple meeting. Our success is evident and very
strong. After meeting with business consultants, accountants, as well
as an attorney, one thing can be agreed on by all. This business is
being sold prematurely and has a great deal of potential left. I
